What is microtagging?
A microdot is an innovative vehicle identification and tracking solutions. Microtagging occurs when a series of microdots is etched into lines of text – this becomes an uniques asset identification number.
How does it work?
In order for a vehicle to be microtagged, roughly 15 000 microdots are mixed into a solution which acts as adhesive. When exposed under a UV light, the microdots and solutions reveal the vehicle’s identification.
Components
Microtagging is a very refined process, the components of which include:
- Microdots
- UV light-respondent polyurethane adhesive
- A unique ID number
- Lables for the asset to be marked
- Lightweight polyethylene container bag.
